At MORK CREATIVE, we had the privilege of designing the identity for Southern Crumbs Artisan Bakery, a gem in the southern Scottish countryside that honours the art of traditional baking. This bakery brings Scotland’s culinary heritage to life, blending time-honoured recipes with a passion for modern craftsmanship.

The hand-drawn logo takes inspiration directly from the bakery’s heart: a loaf of bread. The intricate illustration mimics the scoring found on artisan bread, featuring rolling hills, a cosy cottage, and a sprig of wheat. This clever design not only reflects the bakery’s connection to the Scottish landscape but also celebrates the craft and artistry behind each loaf.

With a warm, earthy colour palette inspired by Scotland’s natural tones and bespoke illustrations highlighting iconic bakes, the brand captures Southern Crumbs’ essence: a celebration of community, tradition, and the love of honest, handmade food. It’s been a joy to craft a brand that feels as comforting and meaningful as a fresh-baked loaf.
